Predicts the motion of an input transform.Updated: 15 Sep 2026
Predicts the motion of an input transform. This node predicts the motion of a node it is following - causing it to be positioned ahead of the current location of that node.
The node whose motion should be tracked is added to the Following Node input, and the output can be connected to any node where the predicted position is needed.
These properties control the core behaviours of the node.
| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Predict Amount | How far ahead (in seconds) the node predicts the tracked value. |
| Smoothing | How much smoothing between points is done for the predicted position. |
| Max Step Distance | The largest position jump accepted between frames before the prediction resets. |
The properties control the time at which the node is active. See Timeline for editing time segments.
| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Duration |
Control the duration of the node’s time segment.
|
| Node Time | The custom start and end time for the node. |
| Duration (Timecode) | The length of the node’s time segment (in time). |
| Duration (Frames) | The length of the node’s time segment (in frames). |
| Time Segment Enabled | Set whether the node’s time segment is enabled or not in the Timeline. |
