Proxy Camera

Proxy Camera

Places a camera which uses a camera from another layer in the project.

Method #

This node copies the camera transformations of the highest priority camera from the previous layer in the project. Only functions with “Layers As Separate Effects” turned off, as for this to work there must be a previously rendered layer to take the camera view from. Useful for maintaining identical camera transforms across content from multiple layers in a project. A Layer Precomp can also be connected speicifcally to match camera data with that of precomposed layer.

Nodes parented to this node will generally follow the standard parent-child relationship with nodes in Notch - including the transformation values of the driving camera in another scene - with a couple exceptions:

  • Most Post-FX nodes will only run when viewed through a camera when connected to the camera.
  • The Camera Focus Target controls the focus position and attributes for the camera.

Parameters

These properties control the 3D transforms of the node. Transforms will generally be inherited by child nodes, although they can be ignored through the Inherit Transform Channels attributes.

Toggle which transform channels should be inherited from the parent node. By default, all transforms will be inherited.
