Frame Buffer
Hold a frame of video for a period of time.

This node periodically holds a frame to a frame buffer for a short period of time, before updating based on the “Frame Grab Rate”. Useful for quickly grabbing a frame to hold onto in the scene, or for giving the appearance of lowering the frame rate of a video while allowing other effects to continue to update at the correct rate.
These properties control the core behaviours of the node.
| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Blend Amount | Changes the opacity of the new effect over the original image. |
| Frame Grab Active | Controls whether the frame buffer is actively collecting frames to store in its buffer. |
| Frame Grab Rate | How many frames ahead the new frame is buffered. |
| Name | Description | Typical Input |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Enables or disables the effect. Disabling the effect means it will no longer compute, so disabling a node when not in use can improve performance. | Envelope Modifier |
