The Advanced Pipeline Tools (APT) for NotchLC is a set of highly configurable command-line tools tailored for render farms and large productions. It is designed to work with scriptable render farm management tools such as AWS Thinkbox Deadline and has been developed to offer the best possible performance.
See our official announcement here.
At this time NotchLC APT tools are Windows only.
NotchLC APT are capable of the following features:
At present, there are two tools available:
NotchLC APT is geared at enterprise customers with render farms. Pricing is per node per year, where a node is a physical or virtual device with one OS instance — e.g. a workstation, virtual machine, or server. The minimum purchase volume is 5 licenses.
Licenses are delivered as floating network licenses from a network server that you provide (see requirements). Nodes do not require a physical dongle to be inserted. Each node is automatically allocated a license from the license server for a 24-hour period at time of use, after which it is automatically returned to the server.
| Node price (12-month license) | £200 GBP / €235 EUR / $275 USD |
| Minimum volume | 5x licenses (£1,000 GBP / €1,175 EUR / $1,375 USD) |
| Software updates | Included for the duration of the license |
| Support | Email support — UK business hours |
All prices are subject to change and exclude any applicable VAT. Contact sales@notch.one to purchase.
Note: For superior performance, the NotchLC encoder used in Processor, runs in GPU mode by default. This is a highly parallelised encoding process where performance directly correlates to the generalised CUDA cores & memory bandwidth of the GPU. Where a discrete GPU is not available Processor can be run in CPU only mode, but it is orders of magnitude slower than GPU mode.
