Trigger

Trigger child animations from a condition.

Method #

This node holds the time for children nodes, allowing playback once a certain criteria is met. Useful for keyframing a sequence with multiple nodes, then activating all their animations from one trigger.

Parameters

These properties control the core behaviours of the node.

ParameterDetails
Condition The value to check the condition threshold against.
Condition Threshold The value to cross to activate the trigger.
Retrigger Time Control the time it takes for the trigger to be able to fire again.
Trigger Action If the trigger condition is met, what action should be taken.
  • Restart : Any child nodes with animations will have their times reset.
  • Make Visible : Any child nodes will have their visiblity enabled.

The properties control the time at which the node is active. See Timeline for editing time segments.

Duration Control the duration of the node’s time segment.
  • Composition Duration : Use the length of the composition for the node’s time segment duration.
  • Custom : Set a custom duration for the node’s time segment.
Node Time The custom start and end time for the node.
Duration (Timecode) The length of the node’s time segment (in time).
Duration (Frames) The length of the node’s time segment (in frames).
Time Segment Enabled Set whether the node’s time segment is enabled or not in the Timeline.
