For Indie and VFX, after logging into the Launcher a software license will automatically be installed if you have purchased a license or a license has been assigned to your Notch account. Software licenses allow up to 2 simultaneous installed machines, if you have reached this limit, you will be prompted to de-authorize one of these machines.

For more, see our page on Software Licensing.

For RFX, a codemeter dongle will be required to install the license onto; ensure this is plugged in when you come to activate your license. After logging into the Launcher a menu bar dialog will appear offering to install an RFX license. Press the activate button, and choose which of the connected codemeter dongles to install the new RFX license onto. After a few seconds, the license will be installed.

If multiple software licenses are available, you can select which license to use. If an RFX license is detected, RFX will be always be used.
