Allows the recording, playback and editing of numeric values over timeUpdated: 20 Aug 2025
Allows the recording, playback and editing of numeric values over timeThis node allows you to record an incoming numeric value, capturing its value over time and converting it into key-framed data. This can be really useful when working with live incoming data, especially in cases where you are working on location and want to capture data to be used for look development later on.
To start using this node, connect any numeric value into the node’s input pin. You can then enable and disable recording inside of the node’s properties.
Once the node is set to recording, it will record data when your scene is playing. The node will automatically de-arm recording when the play head is stopped.
Once data has been recorded, you can edit it just like any other key-framed animation data, by going to the timeline or the curve editor.
By default, this node will generate keyframes with a linear interpolation. This can be changed after recording inside of the curve editor.
These properties control the core behaviours of the node.
