Method #

This node emits colour/ink into the field using the volume of a primitive shape.

The outputs from this node are just its transforms, useful for having multiple nodes follow the same motions without controlling each of their transforms individually.

Parameters

These properties control the 3D transforms of the node. Transforms will generally be inherited by child nodes, although they can be ignored through the Inherit Transform Channels attributes.

ParameterDetails
Position XMove along the local x-axis.
Position YMove along the local y-axis.
Position ZMove along the local z-axis.
Rotation HeadingRotate around the local y-axis.
Rotation PitchRotate around the local x-axis.
Rotation BankRotate around the local z-axis.
Scale XScale along the local x-axis.
Scale YScale along the local y-axis.
Scale ZScale along the local z-axis.

Control the inheritance of the transforms from the parent.

ParameterDetails
PositionToggle inheritance of the Position from the parent.
RotationToggle inheritance of the Rotation from the parent.
ScaleToggle inheritance of the Scale from the parent.
World Position OnlyInherit the world position from the parent only, rotation and scale will be ignored. Overrides above properties.
Inherit TimeToggle inheritance of time from the parent.

These properties control the core behaviours of the node.

ParameterDetails
Shape TypeChoose which object the field is emitted from.
ColourSelect a colour for the emitted field.
AmountHow strong the emitter is on the field.
HardnessHow hard the edges of the shape are.
Radius OuterControls the outer radius of the shape.
Radius InnerControls the inner radius of the shape.
AngleChange the angle difference in the fan blade, thus adding more or fewer fans.
Fan Blade WidthChange the width of the fan blades. Only functions when the Fan is selected in the Shape Type attribute.
Colour Ramp Angle ScaleControls the spread of the colour ramp.
Blend ModeHow the emitter blends into the field. See Blend Modes for details.
  • Solid : The emittedd ink replaces all the field.
  • Linear : The emittedd ink is blended with the field.
  • Additive : The emittedd ink is blended with the field.
  • Subtractive : The emittedd ink is subtracted with the field.
