Method #

This node emits colour/ink into a field based on an input image, useful for making 2D field effects based on a video feed.

The outputs from this node are just its transforms, useful for having multiple nodes follow the same motions without controlling each of their transforms individually.

Parameters

These properties control the 3D transforms of the node. Transforms will generally be inherited by child nodes, although they can be ignored through the Inherit Transform Channels attributes.

ParameterDetails
Position XMove along the local x-axis.
Position YMove along the local y-axis.
Position ZMove along the local z-axis.
Rotation HeadingRotate around the local y-axis.
Rotation PitchRotate around the local x-axis.
Rotation BankRotate around the local z-axis.
Scale XScale along the local x-axis.
Scale YScale along the local y-axis.
Scale ZScale along the local z-axis.

Control the inheritance of the transforms from the parent.

ParameterDetails
PositionToggle inheritance of the Position from the parent.
RotationToggle inheritance of the Rotation from the parent.
ScaleToggle inheritance of the Scale from the parent.
World Position OnlyInherit the world position from the parent only, rotation and scale will be ignored. Overrides above properties.
Inherit TimeToggle inheritance of time from the parent.

These properties control the core behaviours of the node.

ParameterDetails
Colour ImageThe image used for the field. Can be overrided by an input image or video.
AmountHow strong the emitter is on the field.
Blend ModeHow the emitter blends into the field. See Blend Modes for details.
  • Solid : The emittedd ink replaces all the field.
  • Linear : The emittedd ink is blended with the field.
  • Additive : The emittedd ink is blended with the field.
  • Subtractive : The emittedd ink is subtracted with the field.
  • Max : The emittedd ink is uses the max value compared to the field.
  • Min : The emittedd ink is uses the min value compared to the field.
  • Light : The emittedd ink is blended with the field using the light blend mode.
  • Screen : The emittedd ink is blended with the field using the screen blend mode.
  • Premul Blend : The emittedd ink is premultiplied against its alpha before blending with the field.
Emit OnceWhen enabled, the object will only emit ink once into the field.
