Cull

Method #

This node cuts away the polygons of the affected object using a plane, box or sphere.

Parameters

These properties control the 3D transforms of the node. Transforms will generally be inherited by child nodes, although they can be ignored through the Inherit Transform Channels attributes.

Rotation HeadingRotate around the local y-axis.

Scale YScale along the local y-axis.
Scale ZScale along the local z-axis.

Control the inheritance of the transforms from the parent.

ParameterDetails
PositionToggle inheritance of the Position from the parent.
RotationToggle inheritance of the Rotation from the parent.
ScaleToggle inheritance of the Scale from the parent.
World Position OnlyInherit the world position from the parent only, rotation and scale will be ignored. Overrides above properties.
Inherit TimeToggle inheritance of time from the parent.

These properties control the core behaviours of the node.

ParameterDetails
Subdivision OrderToggle whether the deformer is added before or after the object is subdivided.
  • Before Subdivision : The deformation is applied before any subdivision is added.
  • After Subdivision : The deformation is applied after subdivision, or inbetween if the subdivision level property is modified.
Subdivision LevelThe subdivision level at which the deformer is applied. Subdivision Order must be set to After Subdivision to Function.
Vertex Source ModeHow vertices are selected to be used by the deformer.
  • Vertex Positions : Vertices are chosen based on their positions in the scene.
  • Chunks : Vertices are chosen based on the enclosed section of the mesh they are used.
Cull ShapeSelect a shape to cull the parent geometry with.
  • Plane : Geomertry is culled based on an infinite plane.
  • Box : Geomertry is culled based on a unit box.
  • Sphere : Geomertry is culled based on a unit sphere.
Invert CullInvert the direction or area that is culled.
