Updated: 4 Dec 2023

Outputs colours or gradients, based on the colours selected.

Method #

This node generates colours or gradients, based on the colours selected. The output ramp can be used to control how colours change in another node, such as a Particle Emitter.

Parameters

These properties control the core behaviours of the node.

ParameterDetails
Num Control Points Number of control colours.
Selection Mode How the colours are selected and output.
  • Individual Colours : outputs unchanged colours from the control colours.
  • Gradient : colours selected on a gradient between the control colours.
  • Single Colour Selection : selects individual colours based on the single colour index. Only works as an input to Particle Emitter nodes.
Single Colour Index Selects an individual colour to be output. Only functions with single colour selection selected in the selection mode attribute.
Gradient Texture Mode Decide how to create the colour ramp.
  • Smooth Gradient : Use a gradient to swap between the colours.
  • Individual Colours : Use a hard cut to swap between the colours.

ParameterDetails
Invert Order Invert the order of the colours.
Colour 0 First colour for the coulour ramp
Colour 1 Second colour for the colour ramp

The properties control the time at which the node is active. See Timeline for editing time segments.

ParameterDetails
Duration Control the duration of the node’s time segment.
  • Composition Duration : Use the length of the composition for the node’s time segment duration.
  • Custom : Set a custom duration for the node’s time segment.
Node Time The custom start and end time for the node.
Duration (Timecode) The length of the node’s time segment (in time).
Duration (Frames) The length of the node’s time segment (in frames).
Time Segment Enabled Set whether the node’s time segment is enabled or not in the Timeline.
